After years of laying the groundwork, Kaytranada has finally experienced a proper glo up in 2016. He's dropped his first full-length album 99.9% and a new mixtape called 0.001%. Oh, and he's been hitting the studio with Andre 3000.
Yesterday, he released a video for "You're the One," a breezy, danceable jam that features The Internet's Syd and appeared on 99.9%. Director Shomi Patwary injects the video with a ton of flavor, like Wes Anderson, but even more tongue-in-cheek. Kaytranada stars as the emissary of an African prince, who travels to New York City to court three pretty ladies. Keep an eye out for Syd's very brief cameo.
