SXSW attendees will get the first glimpse of "Us."

Jordan Peele solidified himself as a director with the release of Get Out. The critically acclaimed film was not only a box office success but an introduction to Peele's brilliance for anyone who's solely known him from Key & Peele. On Christmas, Peele shared the trailer to his follow-up film, Us which is due out later this year. The trailer was undoubtedly creepy but proved that Peele is mastering the art of directing a great horror film. According to Variety, the film will help launch the opening night of SXSW.

Jordan Peele's upcoming horror-thriller Us will be making its world premiere at SXSW this year. The film is set to make its debut during the opening night of South By Southwest Film Festival on March 8th. This will be the second year in a row that South By launched with a horror film. A Quiet Place was the film used to launch the festival's 2018 edition.

“We are crazy excited to world premiere the most anticipated film of 2019 from the creative powerhouse that brought us ‘Get Out,’” Janet Piersonm director of film for the festival, told Variety. "We honestly couldn't imagine a more perfect film to kick off the 2019 SXSW film festival."

Us is a moving starring Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke and Elisabeth Moss. The film follows a family who've been confronted by a group of Doppelgangers. Peep the trailer below and keep your eyes peeled for more information on Us.
