Earlier this month, we shared an EP by ATL oddball Makonnen that showcased his unique trap x bedroom pop aesthetic. Now the up-and-comer returns with a video for EP cut "Hold Up" that stars the mysterious doll on the cover of the EP and was shot on Mak's recent trip to NYC.
Produced by FKi, the track is composed of bleary, woozy trap elements that seem a little THC-addled. Sure enough, Mak comes through with one of the more creative weed-related similes we've heard as of late, saying that his stuff is "louder than an old man who be yellin' on a front porch."
