In a rap game rife with misogyny, these artists are coming together for a good cause.
Chime for Change is a global campaign that raises "funds and awareness for girls’ and women’s empowerment." The committee includes Beyoncé, actress Salma Hayek and Frida Giannini, the creative director at Gucci. This year, they're holding a global "Sound of Change” concert on June 1st at the Twickenham Stadium in London, England. John Legend and Iggy Azalea announced the show at a press conference today.
Scheduled artists outside of the hip hop and R&B world include Haim, Ellie Goulding and Florence & The Machine.
If this interests you, and you're able to make a trip to London to support the cause, tickets are available now.
