Besides the fact that it's free, the drop in and play game style is permissive and simple to understand. Although fans of the game might get competitive with each other, the game modes are mostly focused on having fun and completing challenges. A new game mode will change all that, and put Fortnite players in direct competition with each other to see who can amass the most wins.
At the end of the limited time competition, the players who accumulated the most points will be nicely rewarded. The player who earns the top spot will receive 50,000 V-Bucks, which is worth roughly $500. The award placement is as follows:

2nd - 4th Place: 25,000 V-Bucks
5th – 50th Place: 13,500 V-Bucks
51st – 100th Place: 7,500 V-Bucks
