Saba's Bucket List Project is one of the year's most criminally underrated albums, and his new collaboration with Drew Mantia, is another great reason to check it out. Like Saba, Mantia is Chicago-based, providing the shape-shifting instrumental on the track, which features keys, live drums, and a screaming guitar solo, as well as a sprinkling of programmed high hats. A less technically proficient emcee might get buried by the monstrous production, but Saba holds his own, always pairing his thrilling rhymes with charisma and personality.
