Rapper Drake attends day eight of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on July 10, 2018 in London, England.

Jason Arasheben tells the story behind Drake's latest piece.

Drake debuted his life-size OVO owl pendant last week. The massive piece was made out of an entire kilogram of gold and covered in over 100 carats of Asscher-cut diamonds. While it's not something we're likely going to see around Drake's neck on a consistent basis, it definitely is something that you'd expect Drake to purchase. The chain itself is impressive for the amount of detail that's gone into it but what's even more impressive is the fact that it got delivered in its own birdcage.

Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills, was the man behind Drake's latest jewelry piece. He recently spoke to HighSnobiety about his relationship with Drake and how the massive owl pendant came to life.

"Drake texted me, “I have a special project for you,” and anytime I hear that I know it’s going to be something special. The pendant was finished in 6 weeks and was flown to Drake in a custom birdcage that housed the diamond owl. He wanted to create an owl that made a statement with its size and he wanted to incorporate stones that haven’t been used in previous Owls. I think we did that."

In addition to working on Drake's life-size OVO owl pendant, the rapper also called on Jason to help create the Scorpion chain which he ultimately used to help promote his latest project.
