It's been a long minute since the collective Doomtree released new music for the fans. Finally that's changed today, with the group surprising us with a new leak just "to let people know we're getting back at it."

For those unfamiliar, Doomtree is an independent rap collective based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, consisting of P.O.S, Dessa, Cecil Otter, Sims, Mike Mictlan, Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger. We haven't heard from them since their 2011 album No Kings, which contained cuts like "Beacon." If you really wanna familiarize yourself with these guys, we suggest checking out their self-titled first release, Doomtree. Each member of the group also has their own solo gig going on, so there's lot of music to discover within Doomtree.

It's good to see that they're back together working on a new album though, we'll have to wait and see what comes of it. You can grab ".38 Airweight" via iTunes below.

Quotable Lyrics

Grown-man syndrome
Ex-planeteer
You can grow wild or grow up
Just outlast your peers
And the children of the corn syrup
Got 'em by the ears
