Dizzy Wright has always made an effort to represent what he feels is the 'core' of hip-hop. On The Golden Era, he touched back into 90s boom bap, and with his new project, State of Mind 2, he has a similar mission statement. "I know deep down in my heart that this is what Hip Hop needs & I didn’t wanna make my fans wait," he says of the project. "I’m not playing no games & I’m extremely motivated. Who ready for the next level?”
On "Connect The Dots," Dizzy is living by the title, using very traditional hip-hop sounds and reaching towards the future as he links with Larry June. At the end of the day, connecting the dots is making ends meet and working as hard as possible to reach your goals. It's exactly the kind of motivation Dizzy has been pushing since day one.
