Field Mob has a serious foothold on the history of country rap.

One of Jazze Pha's more vibrant beats helps offset Field Mob's most faithful love song "So What," albeit on their terms. Thankfully Field Mob's spin on "love and commitment" is completely devoid of simp-like symptomatology.

Deaf to the cries of his lover, Shawn Jay tries to make good in the opening verse, all without causing any sudden changes to his "positive talkin negative pimp" outlook on life. The same can be said for Smoke, his group mate with the svelte chair and the huskier voice.

But the real standout on Field Mob's 2006 single "So What" is guest star Ciara who sings a long-winded hook and the closing verse in her famous soubrette register. While "Sick of Being Lonely" may be more important to Field Mob fans, "So What" has best stood the test of time, especially on dance floor playlists, much to Ciara's credit.

"So What" is Field Mob's most successful single to date, reaching as high as number ten on the Hot 100, and helping Light Poles and Pine Trees register sales figures in the region of 200k sold, no small feat for a group with a distinct barnyard style.

Quotable Lyrics:

Cause you hang out in the street
But you my boy-friend
You've always been here for me
I love the thug in ya
No matter what people think
I'm gon' be here for ya
And I don't care what they say
