Chris Rivers goes in on a Mobb Deep classic.

Chris Rivers, also known as the son of Pun, comes through with lyrical tribute to the late Prodigy. Evidently, Rivers can hardly resist the allure of that classic "Shook Ones" instrumental, and kicks off proceedings with a slew of relentless multis. At some points, it seems as if every single syllable is rhyming, and Rivers brings no shortages of clever references.

It's an impressive display of technical skill, and while few can match Prodigy's original verse, Chris Rivers certainly does the beat justice. The obvious comparison to his father notwithstanding, Rivers seems like one of those rappers who gets a kick out of murdering popular instrumentals, like Chino XL before him.

Quotable Lyrics

I be my papi seed, wait, bagel bread getter
On my A game like red letter scarlet shit, scholarships
Coulda been a mathmatician, fuck I be the rap magician
Pullin' ratchets outta hats and let em' clap like classic disses
