Chuck says LeBron can watch the NBA playoffs with the TNT crew.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will surely be nothing more than spectators come playoff time, as they currently stand 6.5 games back of the eighth seeded Los Angeles Clippers with just 17 games remaining.

In fact, the Lakers and LeBron have already agreed upon a minutes restriction as they close out the disappointing 2018-19 campaign.

LeBron hasn't missed the playoffs since the 2004-05 season, so he might be looking for ways to spend all of that free time in late April, May and June, when he's not busy filming movies and tv shows, of course.

One option on the table: join the NBA on TNT "Inside The NBA" team.

On Thursday night's episode of "Inside The NBA," Barkley jokingly invited the four-time NBA MVP to join the crew for their playoff coverage.

LeBron, 34, is averaging 27.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8 assists in 47 games this season. He also averages the seventh most minutes per game with 35.6 minutes per.

Up next for the Lakers is a Saturday night matchup against the Celtics in Boston, a game which will air on ABC at 8:30pm ET. There are three back-to-back games remaining on the Lakers schedule, so it's likely James will miss at least three more games and possibly more once they are officially eliminated from playoff contention.
