Baka Not Nice lines up another banger.

Baka Not Nice may have started out on security detail, but dude was clearly nursing a secret talent. Luckily for us, the secret's out, and Drake's former bodyguard has officially come into his own as an artist. At first, Baka's appearances were limited to features and the occasional ad-lib, but the rapper eventually turned in performances on More Life's "Free Smoke" and "Gyalchester." Eventually, Drake signed Baka to OVO, and thus began the rollout of a few promising singles. Last week, Baka blessed us with "Money In The Bank," which found the rapper holding his own on a solo tip, and proving more than capable. Now, OVO's toughest member returns with yet another single, "I Am Who I Am."

"I Am Who I Am" picks up where "Money In The Bank" left off, and this latest drop may very well be a step up from its predecessor. Like Drake, Baka doesn't shy away from adding a melodic aspect to his flow, but unlike the OVO figurehead, Baka's lower cadence gives him an aura of intimidation. "I got different plans, used to pull up with the pipe, now I pull up with the Benz," raps Baka, wearing his career trajectory like a badge of honor. And why wouldn't he? Not every former bodyguard has the ability to make the transition to the mic, and actually sound dope while doing so.

If these two singles are any indication, perhaps a Baka Not Nice tape will be upon us sooner rather than later. And with label mates like Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, DVSN, Majid Jordan, and of course, the real MVP 40, there's no doubt that Baka will be in good company when his debut comes around. Be sure to check out "I Am Who I Am," and sound off below. Did ya'll expect this level of heat from Baka?

Quotable Lyrics

N***as wanna hang yeah
Cause they cannot meet demands yeah
Chase like I'm the man yeah
They all went golden like Durant yeah
