They Say "E" you movin' funny.

Ethereal is someone that doesn't get enough credit for pioneering a sound defiantly his own. Awful Records don't have the same media they did in 2015, but their artists have quietly gone about their business in separate lanes. Two artist in particular have distinguished themselves in spot relief. Abra aka the Darkwave Duchess has maintained her cult status by appealing to a certain demographic and not yielding to demands.

The second artist escaping the rubble is Ethereal, a rapper/producer who has probably outgrown his SoundCloud surroundings but never the less chooses the streaming service as his main vestige. Ethereal is renown for having crafted many of Playboi Carti earliest recordings such as "YUNGXANHOE," "Lost," and "Beef." "They Say" is Ethereal doing what he does best, presenting a smooth & relaxed soundscape. Faye Webster's chorus is atypical, as is the expectation of hip hop labelled as such. Awful Records's artists remain to this day, defiant by nature, even as we the listener grow more accustomed to discordant music & culture.

Quotable Lyrics

I don't keep no fake shit around me
When I leave my trap I've got rounds on me
I got so much sauce you might drown in me

-Faye Webster
