News <p>After serving less than half of his 90-day sentence, DMX has been released from a Los Angeles prison. The Yonkers native was freed Thursday (Aug. 12) afternoon after serving only 18 days behind bars for a probation violation, stemming from a 2002 reckless driving conviction. X turned himself in late July after his release from an Arizona prison where he had just served six months behind bars for violating parole with substance abuse.<br />

News <p>Yet another con man has been arrested for impersonating Drake's manager, and attempting to rip off unsuspecting promoters looking to book the rap star.<br />
<br />
According to a complaint filed by Milwaukee, Wisconsin promotions company, Eagles Entertainment, Joey Turner Jr. (aka Jo Flowroshus) posed as Drake's manager, Cortez Bryant recently, and bilked the promotions company out of a $9,000 deposit for a show scheduled to take place Sept. 1 in Milwaukee.<br />

News <p>Kanye West and Thornton were spotted at the Marc Jacobs women's store on Mercer St. during the boutique's Fashion's Night Out festivities. After chatting up Vogue editor Anna Wintour, they took photos together and held hands leaving the boutique. Fans of West chased the musical twosome down the street, snapping pictures on their cell phones.<br />

An in-the-know source says West, 33, and Thornton, who turns 26 on Sept. 26, have been "dating for only about two weeks" but that things are going "very well."<br />

Pablo was arrested with the handgun on Saturday, Sept. 11, nine years after the terrorist attacks on America. But after posting $50,000 bond, Pablo, born Moses Barrett III, claims that the gun wasn't actually his, nor that it was a publicity stunt to promote his new music. Pablo says he was simply protecting a friend from doing something stupid.<br />

News <p>DJ Funkmaster Flex had a very special guest for the launch of his website, as incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne made his first phone interview, calling in from Rikers Island where he is serving a sentence for criminal possession.</p>
<p>When asked what music he's listening to, Weezy regretfully admitted that he doesn't listen to music there because he is incapable of listening to himself, which is what he usually does. Instead, he listens to sports or "I listen to my thoughts," he said. He aspires to record with either Andre 3000 or Tech N9ne in the near future.</p>
