When we spoke with Archibald Slim for our recent profile of Awful Records, he described his pre-rap days as: "Running around looking for money, that's all I can say. Being hungry, sleeping in the cold, paying rent late, eating McDonalds and shit every day." Although the music has no doubt gotten him a little more cash, Slim is still on his grind, which brings us to his latest song.
"Some Mo" is the first leak we've heard from his upcoming project The Other Special Guest, and it's a gem. Slim loops a delicate piano line over a minimal beat and proceeds to gets into the zone lyrically.
