Gase looked like he was on another planet yesterday.

After being fired from the Miami Dolphins just a couple of weeks ago, Adam Gase was named the head coach of the New York Jets. As teams usually do, the Jets held a press conference to welcome their new coach to the team and have the media ask him a few questions about his plans for the team. Gase hadn't even sat down yet and he was already becoming an NFL meme that had Twitter chomping at the bit.

The Jets head coach looked as if he was almost dazed and confused about where he was as he went to sit down. For the majority of the press conference, Gase had his eyes wide open and looked like a paranoid android trying to break out of his human skin. It was truly a sight to behold.

According to the New York Post, Gase took to the radio on Tuesday morning and appeared to be confused by all the talk of his press conference. Apparently, he doesn't even know what memes are.

“I don’t even know what that is,” Gase explained. “I don’t have Twitter, I don’t have Instagram, I don’t look at the internet, I don’t really watch TV, I watch movies. That’s it. The only time I get to know anything is when somebody tells me.”

Gase will be taking over a Jets team that missed the playoffs with a record of 4-12.
