Chris Bosh has not played in the NBA since the 2015-16 season due to a blood clot in his calf, but he isn't ready to retire just yet. The former All-Star forward made an appearance on ESPN's First Take today and declared that he can still play ball.
Bosh, 33, was initially forced out of action in February 2015 after a blood clot was found in his lungs. He missed the remainder of the season only to return in 2016 as an All-Star but another blood clot surfaced in his calf shortly thereafter and he hasn't been in the league since.
During today's episode of First Take, Bosh said, "I've been in the gym. I can still play basketball. No I'm not done yet." When directly asked by Stephen A. Smith if he's trying to make a comeback, Bosh responded, "Yeah, I'm trying to come—man, I see all these guys shooting threes and not playing defense. Man, I mean, I got to get some of it."

If Bosh really hopes to return this season for a title contender he'd need to sign with a team by March 1st, which is the deadline for a free-agent to sign with a team and be eligible for the playoffs. He was medically waived by the Heat, and removed from their books, in July 2017 because doctors declared his condition career-ending.
The 11-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion boasts career averages of 19.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
