First Desiigner cleared his Instagram alerting us to his presence. It's become an ominous fact of life, you can't get on without a little flare for the dramatic. Within days, Desiigner dropped L.O.D. to generally good reviews from his constituents. After two years of relative inactivity, the charge against him or any one in his position was how the passing of time would affect his music. The answer is in the question, is it not?

"LA to NY" doesn't really claim to be anything it isn't at first glance. Desiigner finds a clear and concise way to describe his coming-of-age. He "moves from LA to New York" the way an orderly runs his or her list of errands. Desiigner talks a fair game about wreaking havoc with the "spoon of the fork." His incidental use of language has the effect of muting his anger. It's hard not to picture his goofy demeanor when confronted with some of his more "haunting lyrics," but that's all part of his appeal. Check out "LA to NY" and comment below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Yeah, I go from L.A. to New York (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Chop you with the spoon or the fork (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Yeah, then I light your body with a torch (torch, torch, torch)
Then I go to LA to New York (York, York, York)
Then I go to LA to Resort (sort, sort, sort)
Now I be poppin' bottles with no corks (cork, cork, cork)
Chop you with the spoon or the fork
