Not long ago, Jalen Rose was the butt of a joke that Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid made during a TV interview. At one point, he stated that his level of conditioning was at "81 percent," before giving a shout out to Kobe Bryant. Of course, Rose was on the receiving end of much of Kobe's incredible shot making when he lit up the Toronto Raptors for 81 points back in 2006, a memory that the player-turned-broadcaster surely isn't a fan of. However, despite this, Rose insists that he and Embiid are "cool."
As per TMZ, the former Michigan Wolverine fielded question from one of the gossip outlet's cameramen, including whether or not he and Joel Embiid are beefing over his Kobe line. In Rose's mind, everything is cool when it comes to their relationship. "I got love for Joel," he said, before guaranteeing that he and the Philly big man are not on bad terms.
"He out here killing it," continued Rose, who clearly respects the center's high level of play so far this season. Alongside rookie phenom Ben Simmons, the 76ers currently sit in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and are looking to qualify for the postseason for the first time in several years. No word has been broadcast on social media or otherwise by Embiid on his side of the Rose relationship, but there doesn't seem to be a serious feud going on here.
