Discussing G.O.O.D. Music and YMCMB, Pusha T says 2 Chainz motivates him to stay busy. He also says he does not support Lil Wayne's new music, but is a fan of Drake, and discusses getting "I Don't Like" bars cut.

Pusha T has been very active over the past year, working on his solo projects and jumping on G.O.O.D. Music collaborations.  2012 was a return to form, of sorts for the Clipse rapper who broke through on his own.  In a recent interview with DJ Drama, the Virginia rapper talks about how 2 Chainz’ success has driven him.  He also touches on Lil Wayne and Drake saying that he used to be a fan of Weezy but does not like his current music, but is behind Drake’s music.  Pusha then talks about Kanye West cutting his bars on “Don’t Like” and how it benefited the song.

One of the biggest artists of the past year was Tity Boi, who had a massive LP and was a feature on plenty of hit records.  This success motivated King Push, “I gotta really say that 2 Chainz was a big motivation for me.  To watch what he was doing, and watch how he took control of the game...he had 3 or 4 records in the club at any given time...I took that spirit, I took that motivation.”

After feuding with YMCMB, Pusha Ton objectively states that he used to bump Wayne’s old albums, but does not feel his new stuff, “I don’t like Wayne’s music, like right now, it’s not good.  I got like Carter 2, 3....and I downloaded [Dedication ]4...I’m not into the new stuff.” Yet he is a fan of what Drizzy has been dropping, “Drake be rhyming, he be bustin, he be getting busy.  He say his piece, and I like that. “

Discussing working with Kanye, the Wraith Of Caine rapper reveals that West cut roughly half his bars that initially were dropped for the “I Don’t Like” remix, “He just be like, really trying to maestro the whole situation, a lot of times he be like chopping verses...like ‘Don’t Like’ is a full 16, but he chopped it up and gave me 8 bars.  I thought about it and was tight about it and thought, ‘man would everyone be singing be verse in unison’ [if he had not cut it].”
