Le$ proves lyricism is alive and well on "Second Opinion."

The misconception that there are no lyricists in the South is thankfully fading, and Texas rapper Le$ is part of the movement. The rapper recently dropped off his brand new project "Chico," an EP that finds him flying solo over production from Todd Louis and Suraj. The end result is a soulful half-hour of music, which finds the young rapper holding it down over some low-key production. While there are many gems to be found throughout, there's a sense of immediacy in "Second Opinion," which finds Le$ sliding over a high-frequency bassline and whimsical chimes.

"Ain't rushin' through the motions, shit I'm happy I waited," raps Le$, "still on my come up, ain't gon' front like I made it, I never hated on nobody I showed love and got my own, kept it movin' stayed original and stayed away from clones." Wise words to live by. Check out "Second Opinion" now, and if you're feeling that, check out "Chico" by hitting the link above.

Quotable Lyrics

Ain't rushin' through the motions, shit I'm happy I waited
Still on my come up, ain't gon' front like I made it
I never hated on nobody I showed love and got my own
Kept it movin' stayed original and stayed away from clone
