The Juice is officially on the loose again.

According to CNN, infamous jailbird and former NFL all-star OJ Simpson is now out on parole after being released from the Nevada correctional facility he had been holed up in while serving nine years for kidnapping and armed robbery. He left prison shortly after midnight local time and was reportedly picked up by an unidentified friend, according to Brooke Keast , who is a spokeswoman for the Nevada Department of Corrections.

"I told him, 'Don't come back,' and he responded, 'I don't intend to'," Keast commented. "He was upbeat, personable and seemed happy to get on with his life." Unlike his last go-around with being release from prison, he was set free in the middle of the night so as to avoid as much media attention as possible, or at least that was the strategy from the powers that be in the Nevada Department of Corrections. "Our biggest concern was our safety and the public's safety and not wanting anybody, paparazzi, to follow him," added Keast. "He left through a big blue door through the front gatehouse and exited quietly. He looked down because he didn't want to be photographed."

Back in July, the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners voted unanimously to let Simpson go after he served nine years of a 33-year sentence that stemmed from a robbery and kidnapping incident from 2007. In that moment, he was part of a group that stole sports memorabilia from a hotel and casino while brandishing weapons. While Simpson's future plans are vague at the moment, one source says he won't become a recluse and avoid being spotted in public. "He's not going to hide," said his friend Tom Scotto. The report states that the ex-running back has designs on moving to Florida down the road, but he'll first be living in a gated residence with unnamed pals in a wealthy Las Vegas suburb.
"He's going to focus on kids, friends, his family and golf," Scotto added. "Maybe not the first day or second, but he is going to go out." While out on parole, Simpson will have to adhere to a strict set of guidelines in order to maintain his status as a free former convict. First, he cannot consume alcohol in large quantities or hang out with any other ex-convicts. Any slip-ups in these regards and he could find himself hauled off back to jail. In fact, Simpson received a bad score on his parole risk assessment report, specifically in the drug/alcohol abuse category. Nevada corrections officials cited him as someone who has had problems with "frequent abuse, serious disruption of functioning."
