6LACK lays down the difference between "want" and "need."

East Atlanta Love Letter proved a worthy addition to the 6LACK canon, establishing him as an attentive observer of human behavior. Capable of looking inward, as well as into the mindstate of his companions, 6LACK brings a refreshing honesty to the fold. Now, with the album having aged a couple of months, it seems like the Atlanta rapper has deemed it a worthy time to revisit the vibe. Now, he's come through with a pair of bonus-cuts, including an extended variation of "Unfair" and the brand new "Been A While."

The latter track finds 6LACK taking to a sparse, atmospheric instrumental, occupying the perfect amount of space; noninvasive, yet assertive enough to paint himself as an authority. Here, he makes sure to detail the thin line between "Want" and "Need," navigating the space with the finesse of an experienced veteran. Peep "Been A While" now, and sound off below. Should this have made the album?

Quotable Lyrics

You know he don't write like this
Ain't nice like this, can't type like this
Girl you know I kiss deeper, mmm
You know I could see the shine in youre yes
I remember you was blind with your eyes
Funny how your vision finally got cleaned up, mmm
