Milwaukee Bucks Unveil "Classic" Edition Nike Uniform

Throughout the NBA offseason, teams across the league have unveiled their brand new Nike uniforms for the upcoming season. Although, all we've seen thus far are the "Association" and "Icon" editions which will be taking place of the traditional "Home" and "Away" uniforms. 

All 30 NBA teams will have four primary uniforms next season, including the "Association" and "Icon" editions, as well as one inspired by the athlete's mindset, and another representing the communities that support their teams. Unlike previous seasons, home teams will not be obligated to wear their white "Association" jerseys for home games.

In addition to those four primary uniforms, each team will have a classic uniform to be worn during select games as well.

Today, the Milwaukee Bucks became the first team to reveal their "Classic" throwback uniforms which offer a modern take on the original Bucks home jersey - not the purple and green deer uniforms that they wore during the 90s. According to the Bucks' official press release, the "Classic" uniform will make its season debut for the “Return to the MECCA” matchup against the Boston Celtics and will be worn on select dates throughout the 2017-18 season.

Milwaukee's special edition uniforms also include the Harley-Davidson patch which will be featured on all of their uniforms in the upcoming season.

The "Return to the MECCA" game against Boston is scheduled for October 26th at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, formerly known as the MECCA. The game, which will be broadcast on TNT, is part of the Bucks’ celebration of their 50th Anniversary season.

“We’ve kind of been excited for this ever since this summer when we announced that we were going to have a historic game," Bucks President Peter Feigin said. "This really takes us back to when Marc (Lasry) and Wes (Edens) and Jamie (Dinan) bought the team and their original comment of ‘we are stewards of this brand, stewards of the team, the deep heritage this team has and how we have a responsibility and a commitment and accountability to really nurture this team as a piece of Milwaukee and a piece of Wisconsin.’ "
