LeBron wants people to know he's still the best.

LeBron James is easily one of the greatest basketball players that has ever lived. However, he is constantly disrespected. Although much of this disrespect comes from 14-year-olds with Bol Bol profile pictures on Twitter, the truth stands. James is one of the most underappreciated stars ever. Overall, his four NBA titles, numerous MVPs, and even his scoring record are seemingly never enough to convince some people. The Michael Jordan fans have diluted themselves into never liking LeBron. It's sad, but it is the reality.

Subsequently, after being eliminated from the postseason, LeBron James has had to deal with a bit of slander. Some casuals think that at 38 years old, he should be carrying sorry teams to a title. However, that is simply not the case. His teammates did not show up in the Western Conference Finals, and there wasn't much he could do about it. Regardless, he was forced to shoulder the blame. Now, he is speaking out about this predicament. While taking to his Instagram story, LeBron had a reminder for some people.

LeBron James Speaks

"I'm suppose to be #1 on everybody list. We'll see what happens when I no longer exist," LeBron James wrote. As it stands, LeBron is contemplating retirement. Overall, this would be a huge move that would rock the sports world. Although, many believe he's going to come back. That said, he brings up a good point. If he were to retire, his absence would be felt immediately. He is such a fantastic and dominant player that the NBA really can't afford him to leave. It's sad, but ultimately very true. Not to mention, the Lakers would be a disaster without him.

Following LeBron's statement, some fans rushed to social media to tell him to cut it out. Some feel as though he is doing too much to try and convince people of his greatness. Meanwhile, others are simply agreeing with him. Whatever the case may be, it is clear that LeBron remains a polarizing figure as far as NBA GOATs are concerned. Let us know what you think of his statement, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.
