Just weeks removed from the release of Herstory, Young M.A. made a stop by Hot 97 to discuss her rise over the past year, and just how she's adjusting to stardom. She spoke on how her busy schedule interferes with creativity, but did discuss having multiple tracks stashed away for her official release.
Young M.A. also touched on what it was like getting invited to open for the Formation World Tour, her first performance outside a nightclub, citing how special it was getting to spend time with the BK legend himself Jay-Z.
Towards the end of her interview Young M.A. explains why she doesn't regret turning down a role on Empire, explaining that she wanted to be taken serious as a rapper, and stay in her music lane instead of venturing off into acting so early in her career. Check out the full interview below.
