The Coldest

Lenier Davis did not provide a whole lot of information about himself, but his new record, "The Coldest," caught our attention regardless. The instrumental is a subtly complex concoction of sounds, bolstered of course by some familiar sub-bass rhythms, but the interesting part comes in the filtered guitar sample, as well as the synth line that bookends the record. Meanwhile Davis holds his own on the mic, riding the various moving parts of the beat with ease and proving himself a capable rapper with some potential.
