Russ is always consistent but his last couple releases "What They Want," "Longevity Freestyle," & "Be Somebody" have been particularly fiery. This encouraging trend continues with his latest track "Understand That Took."
After bringing on his Diemon crew associate Bugus make quick work of the first verse, Russ comes in guns blazing, calling out other rappers from his hometown -- "I don't fuck with Atlanta, all of yall sound the same." Burn!! Russ is definitely a dude with immense self-belief who doesn't feel the need to cave to mainstream trends. And given his bevy of self-produced bangers, he definitely shouldn't.
