Maxo Kream revisits his formative years in the streets in the powerful new "Grannies" video.

"Grannies," the January single from Houston big man Maxo Kream, is a feat of autobiographical storytelling. The song takes listeners back to when Maxo was kicked out of his parents house and sent to live at his Granny's apartment. "Mama daddy kicked me out at 15 while I'm renegading / Moved into apartments with my Granny started goin' crazy," he raps to kick off the opening verse. The video takes us to those same apartments in the Alief section of the city, and we get to meet the real-life characters from Maxo's brilliant, often painful, coming-of-age story.
