A recap of Under Armour's Collegiate Design and Innovation Event.

Last night in New York City, Under Armour celebrated 20 years of game-changing on-field design and innovation at the "College Design and Innovation Event."

To kick off the event, ESPN's Hannah Storm held a Q&A with Under Armour's Senior Creative Director of Team Sports, Adam Clement and Josh Rattet, the VP of Team Sports Product. Additionally, Hannah spoke with former Notre Dame guard, and current member of the Chicago Bulls, Jerian Grant as well as Stefon Diggs of the Minnesota Vikings.

To celebrate Under Armour’s 20-year anniversary, also on display were some of the biggest and baddest moments in the brand’s college athletics history from 1996 through 2016, including the brand’s first compression top (1996), the evolution of Under Armour footwear, the brand's first collegiate football uniforms spanning from the University of Maryland Pride to the unveil of the new football uniforms for Wisconsin, Yale and Notre Dame.

While Yale and Wisconsin's new uniforms basically remained true to form with subtle aesthetic alterations, the special edition "Shamrock Series" jerseys for Notre Dame stole the show.

The Fighting Irish will wear the unique uniforms in San Antonio on November 12th when they take on Army as part of the annual "Shamrock Series." Each of the hand-painted helmets feature the University's mantra, "God. Country. Notre Dame" which also appears on the sleeves.

Take a detailed look at all three of the uniforms in the gallery above and be on the lookout for them on the field soon because football season is right around the corner.
