The Zombies are seriously revving up the anticipation for tomorrow's 3001: A Laced Odyssey, which will be the Flatbush trio's first official album. They dropped their new single, "This Is It," earlier today, and hours later, they've unveiled an accompanying music video.
The video places all three Zombies in an all-white vacuum. As they take turns moving in and out of the shot, each partaking in extended bursts of consciousness, it looks as though they are popping in an out of cloud vapor, an effect that is further achieved with the constant lingering of blunt smoke. The way the soft, melancholy piano melody blends with the gritty rapping is almost surreal, much like the video, which brings the Zombies' street stories up into the limitless ether.
