Twitter reacts to the Lakers x Nets trade.

Ahead of tomorrow’s NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers agreed to trade former #2 overall pick, D’Angelo Russell, as well as center Timofey Mozgov to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Brook Lopez and the 27th pick in this year’s draft.

For the Lakers, this deal clears the remaining three years and $54 million left on Mozgov’s contract. And with Brook Lopez’s expiring contract, it gives LA $30 million in cap room for the 2018 offseason.

Of course, the longterm goal for the Lakers is to clear enough space to sign Paul George, who has openly expressed interest in playing for the Lakers, and give them an opportunity to go after LeBron who is expected to be a free agent next Summer.

Check out some of the reactions to last night's trade below.
