The NBA has announced the All-NBA 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams today, which had major implications for players like Paul George and Gordon Hayward, who could've made a lot more money had they made the list.
For instance, had Paul George made one of the three All-NBA teams, he would have qualified for the new Designated Player Extension that is part of the new collective bargaining agreement.
According to ESPN, the Pacers would've been able to offer George the biggest contract in NBA history and add up to five years and approximately $210 million to his contract - which is about $75 million more than any team could guarantee him.
As for those that made the All-NBA teams, the 1st team includes James Harden, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis. Harden was the only player to receive 100 out of 100 votes, both Westbrook and LBJ received 99.
