"I’m telling you, he won’t get through the highway."

New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski has told reporters that he'll be ready to go for the start of next season, after missing the Patriots Super Bowl run due to back surgery.

He also told reporters that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell should stay as far away from Gillette Stadium as possible, which isn't necessarily a surprise.

Patriots fans have plenty of reasons why they despise Goodell and should he be invited to Foxboro for a game, Gronk has some ideas of what that might look like.

Per the New York Daily News,

“The fans are nuts, they’re wild, and they have the Patriots’ back no matter what. They have Tom’s back," said Gronkowski, when asked if Goodell can go to Gillette Stadium. "I’m telling you, he won’t get through the highway if the fans saw him."

"I don’t even think he can even land in the airport in Boston because Patriot fans are the best fans, they’re the most loyal fans," Gronk continued. "I’m telling you, they might just carry out Roger themselves. They couldn’t even get to the stadium in Foxboro if he landed in Boston.”

Despite the horror that awaits Goodell at Gillette Stadium, he has said that he'd be willing to attend a Patriots game if owner Robert Kraft extends the invitation.

"If I'm invited back to Foxboro, I will come,” Goodell said. “I have no doubt that if I wanted to come up to a Patriots game, and I asked Mr. Kraft, he would welcome me back. That's up to him, though."
