The league issues memo about proper twitter etiquette.

The NBA doesn't want teams engaging in "twitter wars" so they've issued a memo urging all 30 teams to refrain from taking jabs at each other via social media.

This reminder comes as a response to the recent back and forth between Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons and Blazers guard CJ McCollum.

The Blazers' twitter account called out Parsons for airballing a three which started the banter between Parsons and McCollum. Parsons later said that it was all in good fun, but the league isn't here for that.

According to the report, the NBA urged teams to "properly and extensively train" social-media staffers so they know what's appropriate and what's not. Embarrassing or belittling opponents, and criticizing officiating were cited as inappropriate behavior.
