TIDAL acquires exclusive Prince streaming rights.

TIDAL may be an unpopular option for most consumers, but they are unavoidable force in some cases as they still are dropping exclusive releases from huge names. They had the exclusive rights to Lil Wayne's FWA, and now they own have the inside track on Prince's new album HITNRUN.

Although iTunes and Amazon are also selling the album digitally, Tidal is the sole retailer for the CD bundle and the only site where you can stream the album. Though you don't have to be a subscriber to buy the CD bundle, it will set you back $21.59 + shipping and handling. The digital version costs $17.99.

Here is Prince's statement: “After one meeting, it was obvious that Jay Z and the team he has assembled at Tidal recognize and applaud the effort that real musicians put into their craft to achieve the very best they can at this pivotal time in the music industry.”

HITNRUN is out today, check it out on Tidal here
