Offset will a face a judge this afternoon in his latest attempt to be released on bond. Today's bail bid with be Offset's fourth. Earlier this week Bobby Shmurda was denied bail for a sixth time.
Offset was arrested at a Georgia Southern concert in April on a variety of weapons and drugs charges. Due to a May 2 incident in which he reportedly attacked another inmate at Bulloch County Jail, he is also facing charges for battery and riot in a penal institution. According to TMZ, Offset and his lawyers are arguing that there is insufficient evidence to prove his culpability in the riot. In Offset's previous bid for bail, his team argued that the judge mislabeled him as a gang member, to no avail.
Hard to believe Chicago police officer who shot Laquan McDonald 16 times was immediately granted bail and Offset and Shmurda can't catch a break. Stay tuned to see if Offset is granted his freedom.
