Thundercat, bass player, singer, probable musical genius, just released a new EP called The Beyond: Where The Giants Roam.
Thundercat's dope AF 2013 album Apocalypse, collaborations with Flying Lotus, and major creative role in the making of To Pimp A Butterfly have raised his public profile considerably. The news of this EP came only a few days ago with the release of single "Them Changes."
At six tracks in length the EP is short and sweet, featuring an epic title, the keyboard stylings of Herbie Hancock, production assistance from FlyLo, and the virtuosic bass of our friend Thundercat. One could easily draw comparisons to Flying Lotus' You're Dead!, though Thundercat's latest is more melodic and straightforward.
