Dana White

White has been with the UFC since 2001.

Dana White is one of the most interesting and forward-thinking presidents of any sports league in the United States. Since becoming president of the UFC in 2001, White has turned the organization into a multibillion-dollar venture that boasts some of the biggest and most marketable stars in the world. White has seen more success than he has failures, so it only makes sense that the UFC would want to keep him around for the long-term. In an interview on the UFC YouTube channel, White explained how he just signed a new contract to stay on with the organization.

"Ari Emanuel and I just signed a new seven-year deal, too," White explained. "So we're here for seven years. ESPN is here for seven years, and the incredible things that we're going to work on, I just can't even tell you how pumped I am for all this stuff."

The UFC was sold to WME-IMG in 2016, however, White stayed on because he wanted to continue to build the sport that he loves.

"After the sale I stayed on, and we've been working hard for the last two and a half years to take this thing to the next level," White said. "That's why I'm here. I didn't stay here. It's not about money. It's not about any of that stuff. I don't care about any of that stuff. I like to win, and I like to take this thing to the next level, the next level, the next level, and it's what we've always done and what we'll continue to do."

In addition to the actual events, the UFC has also birthed reality TV shows such as The Ultimate Fighter.
