Williamson was wearing Paul George's signature sneaker.

Zion Williamson of the Duke Blue Devils went down with a knee injury in the team's big rivalry matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Wednesday night. The injury occurred after Williamson broke through his shoe which was the Nike PG 2.5. Of course, this is one of Paul George's signature sneakers. The NBA star clearly felt bad about the break as he commented on the situation, saying he wishes the best for Zion.

"First, I want to wish him all the best," George told reporters. "I don't know the severity of the injury, but I just wish him all the best and a quick recovery if it is severe. And honestly I'm just there for him through that time of being hurt and being injured on a big stage in a big game, him not being able to play."

George also talked about how he doesn't want to see one of his shoes break like that again and has reached out to Nike to make sure the proper measures are taken for the future.

"Outside of that, I don't necessarily know what happened," George explained. "I talked with Nike to see what went wrong and what happened with the shoe. I take pride in that my shoe has been a successful shoe not only in college but in the NBA. A lot of people get in them, a lot of people have been wearing them, so I don't necessarily know. It's never happened to my knowledge before. So it's tough."

There is currently no timetable for Zion's return.
