Rousey says being champ isn't her goal in WWE.

Ronda Rousey recently sat down (in an ice bath) for an interview with comedian Kevin Hart as part of his Youtube series, "Cold As Balls." During their chat, Rousey spoke about her childhood and time spent in UFC, as well as her new journey with the WWE.

As far as her WWE career is concerned, Rousey says being champion is not the ultimate goal. She tells Hart (H/T Cageside Seats):

“The goal is not to be champion. Rowdy Roddy Piper’s son taught me a very important lesson, and he said it doesn’t matter - the belts don’t matter. And it’s about stories, and the storytelling, and I just - I really want the WWE and the women’s division to be better off because I was there. I want to be a catalyst and I want to push everything forward and I want people to thank me for being there.”

Rousey won the Raw Women's championship at SummerSlam in August by defeating Alexa Bliss and she has held the title ever since. She'll put that title on the line against Sasha Banks at the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV at Chase Field in Phoenix Arizona on Sunday, January 27.

Rousey is expected to retain the strap, setting up a match against Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, or possibly both, at Wrestlemania 35 in April.
