"Me personally, I think I could give it another year so why not?"

Vince Carter still has some juice left in the tank, and he's not quite ready to hang up his Nike Shox BB4s just yet.

As Carter's 21st NBA season winds down, the 42-year old future Hall of Famer recently explained that he feels he has at least one more year in him.

"I think I could stretch it out one more," V.C. said on ESPN's Pardon The Interruption on Thursday. "At the end of the year, I usually assess from top to bottom to see how I'm feeling. And obviously opportunity, when the phone call rings and teams show interest, that's a good thing."

"Me personally, I think I could give it another year so why not?" Carter added. "We'll see what happens."

Carter, who signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks last offseason, is set to become an unrestricted free agent this Summer which would allow him the opportunity to return to the Toronto Raptors for one final farewell tour.

The Raptors selected Carter out of UNC with the fifth overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft, and he has previously discussed reuniting with the team before he calls it quits. "It'll happen one day; it's supposed to happen," Carter had said back in 2017.

In 61 games with the Hawks this season, V.C. is averaging 7.1 points on 43.6% shooting with 2.5 rebounds in 16.6 minutes of action per night.
