Charles Barkley is no stranger to speaking his mind, something that is evident during NBA on TNT broadcasts. Barkley, who famously played in the NBA, had most of his success with the Phoenix Suns although he was never able to get over the hump and win a championship. In an interview with Sean Deveney of Sporting News, Barkley explained why things didn't work out in Phoenix and how the Boston Celtics are exhibiting many of the same qualities of the team he played on back in 1994.

"When I first went to Phoenix," Barkley explained. "We got together and I said, 'We're going to go to the Finals, and we're going to play the Bulls.' I remember having that conversation. 'We're going to play the Bulls for the championship, and I think we're going to win.'"

However, Barkley explained that things quickly went downhill with the team the following season and were eventually ousted by the Houston Rockets in the second round of the playoffs. The Rockets eventually won the Championship that year. He explained how a lack of chemistry and players not being happy with their roles led to a team full of disarray, which he feels is exactly what the Celtics are going through now.

"I said it is going to be interesting with this Celtics team because Tatum and Brown got a chance to have the limelight. They're going to want them to take a step back with Kyrie and Gordon back. I said that s- is not going to work. And it's not working," Barkley said. "And then, Rozier is like, 'S-, I'm trying to get a deal. I'm not trying to be Kyrie's backup.' It's just there now. I'll be honest with you. I don't know if they can come out of it."

While Chuck may have a point, the Celtics are still winning games and are among one of the favorites to go to the NBA Finals this year. They currently sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 37-25.
