Rapper Andre 3000 speaks onstage at the 2016 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on June 23, 2016 in Beverly Hills, California.

Andre 3000 hit the Lake Meritt for his 43rd birthday.

Andre 3000 isn't often seen in public. Ever since the disbandment of Outkast, he's been pretty low key with his movements. He hasn't really dropped a lot of music nor is he really seen in public. However, a few people at Oakland's Lake Meritt witnessed the ATLien in the flesh as he was celebrating his 43rd birthday on the grounds.

According to SFGate, Andre 3000 was roaming around Oakland's Lake Meritt over the weekend for his 43rd birthday. A random sighting but clearly, people were stoked to see half of Outkast. 3 Stacks was reportedly attending several of the BBQ's that were on the grounds. Lake Meritt is the same park where the infamous "Oakland BBQ" incident happened a few weeks a go that sparked controversy and memes. Last week, the same park hosted the "BBQing While Black" as a response to the viral incident.

At this point, it wasn't made clear what his reasons to be at the park were but he definitely put some smiles on park-goers faces at they caught the legend in the flesh for a rare public appearance and caught a few flicks.

Interestingly enough, he isn't the only public figure to show face at the park following the incident. Angela Rye attended the "BBQing While Black" event last week in support of those affected by the incident.

Peep some of the flicks below.
