Gelo & Melo post triple-doubles in Gelo's JBA debut.

After failing to find a spot on an NBA roster this Summer, 19-year old LiAngelo Ball made his debut with the Los Angeles Ballers of the Junior Basketball Association last night in Ontario, California, and he came out SHOOTING. Playing alongside his younger brother LaMelo, LiAngelo scored 53 points, including 21 in the first quarter, as his brother and teammates continued to feed him the rock throughout the game.

In addition to his 53 points (24-for-42 from the field, including 4-for-18 from three point range), Gelo also dished out 10 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds, as his Los Angels Ballers defeated the Philadelphia Ballers by the final of 171-140.

"I feel good," LiAngelo said on the JBA broadcast on Facebook (via USA Today)."I wanted to come out and get the hang of things and it was a good win.''

LaMelo also recorded a triple-double in the win, posting a stat line of 25 points, 19 assists, 17 rebounds and four steals.

Of his move to the JBA, LiAngelo says, "I just want to win for the team. That's all I want to do, win. I'm trying to play ball and I'm trying to get better every day." His younger brother LaMelo added, "It's all business. If you're not playing hard, you get sent home. They brought in Gelo while he's been working out at home. This is the JBA, you have to come to play. I love playing with my brother, we have great chemistry. It feels good to play with him again."
