"Gooning? That's a good word."

The Boston Celtics are just two games away from advancing to the NBA Finals and if that means "gooning up the game" in order to eliminate the defending Eastern Conference champs, then so be it.

Following the Celtics' 107-94 victory over the Cavs at the TD Garden in Boston last night, Cleveland's head coach Tyronn Lue said that Boston is "gooning the game up" against his players. The Celtics didn't seem to mind that characterization.

"Gooning? That's a good word," Marcus Morris said when told of Lue's post-game comments. "Shit, we're doing what it takes. Whatever it takes, every player, 1 to 15, whatever it takes, that's what we're doing. You call it what you want to call it. We're just trying to get the win."

"I don't even know what to say to that," said Jaylen Brown. "I agree, I guess."

Despite another triple-double performance by LeBron James, who finished with 42 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, the Cavs couldn't hang with the Celtics for the full 48 minutes. Six Celtics players scored in double figures, including all five starters, led by Jaylen Brown who poured in a team-high 23 points. All-Star center Al Horford took over down the stretch, scoring eight points in a 90-second span to ice the game.

The series now shifts to Cleveland for Games 3 & 4, but the two teams will have several days to rest before that time. Game 3 is scheduled to tipoff on Saturday night at 8:30pm ET.
