Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs restaurant is facing eviction after not paying rent since November.

This definitely isn't Flavor Flav's best year. Flav is already suffering from legal trouble, after assaulting his girlfriend's 17-year-old son, as well as the lady herself, during a domestic dispute. Flavor Flav is set to stand trial for two felony charges stemming from the incident. Now, more trouble comes Flav's way, this time, because of his business ventures.

The former rapper opened up a fast food chain, Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs, which hasn't been doing well. Two of the three restaurant spots have already been shut down, and now the third one is looking like it will be heading the same way.

Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs in Sterling Heights, MI has been served with eviction papers, and the restaurant has reportedly been stiffing the landlord of rent since its opening in December 2011.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the restaurant will likely close unless it comes up with the $25,000 for the missing rent, late fees and damages. FFC&R was apparently late paying the $3,500 a month rent back in October and September, and when November came, they stopped paying rent altogether.

The landlord says he warned Flav about the misisng rent in January, however, to no avail. The landlord went to court in hopes that a judge would kick FFC&R out.

Flavor Flav says that he was unaware of the restaurants problems, and told TMZ, "I'm gonna figure out what's going on and get to the bottom of this ASAP!"

When it was revealed that Flavor Flav's restaurant was served with eviction papers, Flav said that he was going to sort things out ASAP, but it seems like that didn't happen soon enough, because the Chicken & Ribs joint was officially evicted from its Sterling Heights, Michigan location.

Yesterday, as TMZ reports, a signed eviction noticed was pinned to the door of the restaurant. Police reportedly showed up yesterday morning at the location to kick the employees out and change the locks on the doors.

Flavor Flav's business associates say that the reason they stopped paying rent was because of a faulty heating unit which was apparently spewing out carbon monoxide.

Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs shack has now been cleared to re-open its door to the public, after filing a motion to stay, because they said they weren't aware of a court hearing on the issue until after the hearing had been held.

A judge agreed, and has postponed the eviction until attorneys for either party are able to have another hearing. However, the judge did order Flav to pay one month's rent on the place.

One final update for you on Flavor Flav's on-going struggles with his Chicken & Ribs shack. As we previously reported, the restaurant was served with eviction papers after Flav stopped paying rent on the place. However, Flav soon re-opened their doors when they filed a Motion to Stay.

The Motion to Stay was granted on the condition that Flav's business partners and the landlord of the restaurant come to agreement about the past rent due, which never happened. So on Thursday the Motion to Stay was officially declined.

U-Haul trucks soon arrived at the location to close up shop and carry out the appliances, with police on hand in case things turned sour (which they did not).

The Michigan location was the last of Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs joint, with locations in Las Vegas and Iowa already having been shut down.

A rep for Flav didn't say much on the eviction, except that they leave the day-to-day operations to his business partners.
