Bye Bye Alex Jones.

Alex Jones has been pushing a far-right agenda forever. The conservative media figure has painted an Islamaphobic, homophobic, racist, xenophobic, and sexist picture on his InfoWars series for the last decade. Jones is infamous for his conspiracy theories, and you can be sure that anyone who religiously garners information from InfoWars must be filled with hatred towards a particular race, religion, or sex. It appears that Silicon Valley is tired of Jones' rhetoric,  and he has been taken off of several prominent social media and streaming sites.

According to BuzzFeedApple, Facebook, and YouTube have decided to remove Jones' work from their websites. Apple eradicated the entire library for five of InfoWars' six podcasts from iTunes and Apple Music. War Room and the Alex Jones Show podcast were also scrubbed from their service. Apple cited a breach of their hate speech guidelines as the reason for dropping Alex Jones' work.  "Apple does not tolerate hate speech, and we have clear guidelines that creators and developers must follow to ensure we provide a safe environment for all of our users," an Apple spokesperson stated. "Podcasts that violate these guidelines are removed from our directory making them no longer searchable or available for download or streaming. We believe in representing a wide range of views, so long as people are respectful to those with differing opinions.”

Following Apple's announcement, Facebook, Spotify, and YouTube all deleted pages and podcasts related to Jones. While all of his work has not been scrubbed from the services, a majority of his most recent, and most inflammatory, work will no longer be available to stream.
