If you've been keeping up with the NBA Playoffs, you've probably seen footage of Houston Rockets guard Gerald Green entering the arena wearing several different Houston jerseys. Among Green's pre-game threads was a gold Hakeem Olajuwon Rockets jersey made by Mitchell & Ness as part of their NBA "Gold Series."
Today, Mitchell & Ness released the full collection, which not only includes gold NBA jerseys but gold shorts as well. In total there are nine players featured in the Gold Series including the Bulls' Scottie Pippen, the Lakers' Shaquille O'Neal, the Knicks' Patrick Ewing, the Pistons' Grant Hill, the Jazz' Karl Malone, the Sonics' Gary Payton, the Magic's Penny Hardaway, the Sixers' Allen Iverson and the aforementioned Hakeem joint.
The gold shorts are available for the Rockets, Knicks, Jazz, Bulls, Pistons and Magic. The jerseys retail for $129.99 each, while the shorts are priced at $74.99.
